To Lam, the new leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam
Announcement by the Commission for External Relations of the CC of the Communist Party of Vietnam
The Commission for External Relations of the Central Commitee of the Communist Party of Vietnam respectfully announces that, οn August 3, in Hanoi the capital of Viet Nam, the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam convened to elect the personnel nominated by the Politbureau to be the General Secretary of the 13th Central Committee. 
At the meeting, in accordance with the Party’s regulations, the Central Committee has upheld a high sense of responsibility, fully used their intellectual capacity, democratically discussed and reached a unanimous vote when 100% of the Central Committee members elected Comrade Tî Lñm, Member of the Politburo, President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam as the General Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee.

Comrade General Secretary TĂŽ LĂąm affirms his determination to inherit and  build upon the revolutionary achievements established by the late General Secretary Nguyễn PhĂș Trọng and previous generations of Party leaders; maintain the solidarity and unity within the Party; and together with the Party Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat, resolutely lead and direct the entire Party, people, and military to successfully accomplish the goals and tasks set by the 13th National Party Congress, and to successfully organize the 14th National Party Congress, securing steady and strong national development in the new period.

We would like to respectfully inform you about this, and we wish to continue receiving the support by fraternal parties and international friends for the Communist Party of Vietnam, and telegrams and messages of congratulations by political parties, leaders of parties, and organisations, and international friends for Comrade General Secretary and President TĂŽ LĂąm.
